LET'S DAGGER 'EM
Today, I will describe the dagger child. If you missed the introductory part of this series, you can read it here.
The dagger child can be likened to a child who thrives in a structured and closely monitored environment. They always love to be where you are.
Here are some of their characteristics:
1. Detail-oriented: Dagger children tend to excel in tasks that require attention to detail. They are meticulous and thorough in their approach.
2. Disciplined: They are often self-disciplined and follow the rules and instructions well.
3. Close connection lovers: Dagger children value strong bonds and tend to develop deep emotional connections with their parents and caregivers.
4. Overdependence: They may rely heavily on their parents or authority figures for guidance and decision-making, which can hinder their ability to develop independence.
5. Risk aversion: Dagger children may be cautious and hesitant to take risks or step outside their comfort zones, potentially limiting their growth and exploration.
6. Feelers: A dagger child is a hugger and cuddler. He loves to be where you are and quickly picks up how you feel. He feels deeply, loves easily, and always wants a squishy, warm hug.
Does this look like any of your children? In my next post, I will show you what you can do as a parent to help your dagger child.
Our 8-week Bible study with children on David's Mighty Men is still ongoing. You can register your child with this link if you haven't done so.
