INTRODUCTION
Children are different, as you already know as a parent. I have two of them, and they are different as they come. I did some studies on daggers and swords and thought, 'One of my children acts like one, and the other acts like the other. Why not share your discovery with other parents?'
So, here I am, sharing my weaponry children classification💪. But before I delve into what I discovered, let me briefly define both terms and highlight their similarities and differences.
🗡️ A dagger is a short-bladed weapon with a sharp point. It can have a single sharp edge, or both edges can be sharp. It is designed for close-quarters combat and can be used to stab. A dagger is usually small and can be easily hidden.
⚔️A sword is a long-bladed weapon with a handle or hilt for cutting, thrusting, or striking in combat. It has a straight or curved blade and is bigger, larger and longer than a dagger. It is usually sharp on both edges.
Both can be used for personal purposes or in combat.
Now, to their similarities and differences.
Size: A dagger is like a small knife that you can hold with one hand, while a sword is much bigger and longer, like a giant knife. Both can be sharp or blunt.
Shape: Daggers have a sharp point and a shorter blade, while swords have a pointy tip and a longer blade that can be straight or curved.
How They're Carried: Daggers are usually carried in a hidden place, like a pocket or a sheath hidden under clothing. Swords are carried openly, hanging from a belt or a special strap.
In my next post, I will describe the dagger child. You probably have one in your house and need to learn about them.
